My name is Joan Connors and I have been breeding and showing Cornish Rex and Sphynx in Florida since the year 2000.

On the eve of the Millennium, 2000CATS was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. Its goal was, is, and always will be, to strive to breed the finest examples of both breeds.

At the end of 2004, after retiring from the U. S. District Court in West Palm Beach, I moved from South Florida to Deland (Central Florida) where I now am able to pursue my work with both breeds, full time.

From early 2000 I have been involved in the Cat Fancy Association (CFA). I am also a member of both the CFA Cornish Rex and the CFA Sphynx Breed Councils.

As a breeder/exhibitor I have achieved the status of Grand Champion for several of my cats, one of which went on to receive an award as Best Cornish Rex Premier in the Nation in 2001 and Best of the Best in the International Cat Show in Houston, Texas.

I am currently involved in various local (Florida) cat clubs, including Tropical Cats Cat Club in Deland. I also hold the position of Vice President in the International Sphynx Society (ISS).
